I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst graduating in May 2026 with a strong interest in manufacturing systems, product design, and process optimization. My work focuses on understanding how products move from concept to large-scale production and how engineering decisions influence efficiency, quality, and real-world implementation.
My most hands-on industry experience was during my internship at Indorama Ventures in Vietnam, one of the country's largest PET bottle manufacturing operations. There, I observed injection molding and stretch blow molding processes and evaluated key parameters affecting product quality, including temperature profiles, cycle times, and material conditioning. I also assisted in troubleshooting efforts by analyzing defect patterns such as haze and wall thickness variation, gaining insight into high-volume packaging manufacturing and process control.
At UMass, I have worked extensively on collaborative engineering projects. In one design project, I helped develop a lightweight modular wrench prototype from concept sketches to final testing, contributing CAD modeling, stress analysis using ANSYS Workbench, torque testing, and technical report writing. I also explored process analysis through a case study evaluating melt process performance from a quality engineering perspective.
Currently, I serve as fabrication lead for my senior capstone project, where I oversee prototype manufacturing and material sourcing for a piezoelectric energy harvesting system. Earlier, during my internship at General Mills in India, I explored the market analytics side of engineering by researching how products are positioned and adopted in the marketplace.
Together, these experiences have shaped my belief that engineering is not only about designing systems but also about understanding how those systems function within real industries and markets.
